Jonthan Lau – English Pastor
Jonathan first came to San Francisco Chinese Alliance Church in 2004, when he began to serve as SFCAC youth pastor. He transitioned to the role of English pastor in 2007. He followed Christ into full-time pastoral ministry right after college, receiving a formal theological education at Bethel Seminary San Diego and his first practical ministry experience interning at his home church, Chinese Evangelical Church of San Diego. He has a passion to see people discover and realize the full implications of the Gospel in their lives. Jonathan and his wife, Vincci, raise 4 rambunctious kids.
Carrie Chan – Worship Director
Carrie Chan first came to San Francisco Chinese Alliance Church in 1973 when her family moved to San Francisco from Seattle, Washington. She literally grew up in the church. It was at church camp during her last year of High School that she committed her life to serve in full time ministry. She thought the Lord would send her overseas; however, the burden the Lord placed on her heart was to serve the local church. She has been serving the youth and in various positions in the church since she graduated from UC Berkeley. Carrie also served at Chinese Christian Mission as a radio program producer for 15 years until some health issues caused her to step down from the position. She loves singing and the Lord gave her the opportunity to study vocal training with the renowned Christian Artist Lily Chung for 10 years. She believes worship in music is like preparing and leading the procession into battle. For Carrie, singing also brings joy, peace, victory, healing and intimacy with the Father God. She and her husband Henry, have two grown children: Nate and Natalie.
Erin Ng – Creative Director
Erin grew up playing gameboy in the hallways of SFCAC. She attributes her faith in Christ to his relentless grace, by which she has been blessed with countless mentors, friends and family who have lovingly walked along side her in faith and poured truth into her life. She has a heart for Jesus, serving, discipleship, and building community–especially cross-cultural + intergenerational! After a twist and turn, she became a photographer by profession, but remains endlessly fascinated by a hodge podge of things (truly). If you want to know more, we hear she’s super friendly and very rarely turns down an epicurean adventure! #GODUBS
